Last Friday, temperatures were in the 50’s and the sun was shining bright and it felt like spring had finally sprung. I went on my first bike ride of the season around our “country block” which is 9.3 miles. We start at our house and ride north, then east, then south, then west back home…we are out of town within a mile so we are mostly riding in the country, on paved roads. It felt wonderful.
The best part of this first ride of the season…I was on my new electric bike! I was surprised on my birthday when I unwrapped a box with a picture of this bike I’ve wanted for a season or two. We picked it up in town on Friday. The bike is a beautiful coral color. I’m excited and I look forward to this biking season. Thank you Gary.
Congratulations! You told me last year how you wanted that bike and now you have it. Happy trails.
I will be happy on the trails now! ha
My favorite biking trail is still Cannon Falls to Red Wing. I still have my bike but it might retire , hanging from my garage rafters. Memories are good. We would bike with all three of our children on our 2 bikes. I had Kara and Tony had Maia and Maren on his bike, one in front and one in back. None of us wore helmets in those days ( 50 years
ago. Kay
I do like the Cannon Valley Trail too.
I remember the bike rides we took with our guys too…no helmets in a plastic seat attached to the bike. Yipes. I’m glad we are, by law, required to wear helmets these days.
Happy birthday, Valerie, albeit late.
What a wonderful birthday gift, absolutely perfect for you and your interests. Well done, Gary.
It was great to see you on Saturday at the Paradise.
Thank you Audrey.
I’m thrilled with the bike…now I can keep up with others.HA
It was fun to see you on Saturday. We enjoyed the show.
What a wonderful birthday gift. I am sure you will enjoy it for MANY miles!
I do hope to enjoy the bike for many, many miles and years.
What a wonderful gift! Gary must have been listening the two previous years (ha). I would love to know how you like your ‘electric’ bike. Sounds like they are wonderful from what I’ve heard. Isn’t it great to finally have the snow melt enough (something we never thought would happen this year) to ride! Happy Trails to you!
Thanks Shirley.
So far, I really like the bike. It’s easy to use and I’m excited to bike more.
HI Valerie,
I would love to hear more about your biking with the electric bike.
Richard and I have had our eyes on them since the State Fair last year when we saw some on exibit!
See you soon! Cindy O.
I think you two would really like them. I’m very excited about mine.
