I like petunias.
Petunias are colorful, hearty, and everywhere. This summer I started taking photos of different displays of petunias.
Petunias cannot be picked for a bouquet but if watered daily they will bloom and bloom and bloom, and tolerate the hot sun.
Some people would consider them “just an ordinary flower” but I think they are “old-fashioned and beautiful”.
They come in all colors, are easy to grow, and brighten up many spaces.
I will continue to notice petunias…once on the lookout you find them everywhere!
These are all so beautiful. I don’t have any luck with them though. Wish I did.
I’m sorry you have trouble with petunias. You do have a nice yard with good trees.
What a great idea to photo focus on a single flower. I am always impressed by the massive hanging petunia baskets.
This year I got some black petunias from my sister who is a florist. I love them paired with the almost lime green of the sweet potato vine.
Thanks Audrey.
I bet the black and lime green is stunning! It reminds me…when we were in Africa we caught glimpses of a wedding party dressed in lime green and black at a park we were visiting. I loved the combination.
I had a lime green bedroom as a teen. It remains one of my favorite colors.
How lovely that wedding party must have looked in those paired hues.
