Welcome 2024!

At our church’s vespers service in December, I heard a song that touched my heart and seems an appropriate prayer for the new year.

A sun dog filled the sky one morning last week. A fun sight to see, especially in its fullness which I didn’t capture on camera.

Good-bye 2020….Welcome 2021!

Whenever I see a cardinal it reminds me of God’s love.

Who knew that 2020 would change life as we knew it…

And who knows what 2021 will bring…

But I know who holds the future. Amen.

Happy New Year!

Auld Lang Syne – this familiar song has words I’ve never really understood even though I hear it every year… A little research tells me Auld Lange Syne means “time gone by” and it is a Scottish tune written by poet Robert Burns in 1788.

In church on Sunday we sang different lyrics to this familiar tune, the title of the song being part of the chorus which reads:

Chorus
All glory be to Christ our King!
All glory be to Christ!
His rule and reign we’ll ever sing
All glory be to Christ!
