We saw several covered bridges while driving around Vermont. There was a unique one…with a double lane…which we have never seen before.




All bridges are still in service. And, each bridge had a special 250th commemorative USA flag flying.

So special with those bridges. Do you know why they are built like that? Is it to keep the wooden brigdes longer, so they donโt wear out because og rain or snow, or is it just because it looks nicer๐
Yes, it was mainly to preserve the bridges…and it was cost efficient.
Apparently, it also sometimes calmed the horses. ๐
They are beautiful to see.
